Who are your favorite story book characters?
I’m doing a series of paintings portraying story book characters. So far I’m planning to do Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, Alice in Wonderland, and Pippi Longstocking, but I need a bunch more!
Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle of course. If you don’t know her look her up. She was illustrated by Hillary Knight (Eloise). In a whole different mood, look up Taro Yashima and in particular the stories Crow Boy and Umbrella are just amazing stories about, well, slightly extraordinary people. Oh, and of course you want to do Eloise and Madeleine and Curious George.
